Blessed us!

This week was amazing!  On Tuesday I went on exchanges with Elder Zeigler.  He came to our area and we had a lot of fun.  It was about 6 degrees and we were on foot all day.  We talked to a lot of people and met some interesting people, it was great!  We met Doug that day!  His dad is a less active member and he just moved into the area.  His dad is such a great guy and has a testimony, he is just struggling physically.  Doug is 16 years old.  When I met him we just clicked, it was so cool.  He said a prayer before we left and it was the most heart felt prayer I have ever heard in my life.  I am excited to see him progress.  We also met a guy named George who we are teaching also a lady named Doris.  They live close to one another and they are awesome!  We had zone conference that lasted 9 hours!  It was so long but it was so good, I learned much.  President and Sister Porter are amazing and I love them.  The vision and goal that the Porters' have for Cincinnati is truly amazing.  I love serving here and I am super excited for this week. The Lord truly blessed us this week and I am so grateful for that.  Prayer works!  I can testify to that!  I love you all, thanks for all your help and all your support.

Media Splits!

This week has been great! Last Monday we had a zone fun day and played some chair soccer and basketball, it was a lot of fun. Tuesday my companion was sick so he spent the day inside. We have another set of Elders in the ward so I went out with them and visited some people. Then Wednesday we had a zone training... it went really well and I trained on teaching and how we can become powerful teachers! Then we went on exchanges afterwards. Thursday we visited many less actives and did some good street contacting. Friday we had a zone weekly planning which was a lot of fun! We did some more training then went around to each companionship and helped them do their weekly planning. Saturday was the media splits!!! It was super fun! We had a member with us everywhere we went, taking pictures and sharing them on social media. We studies, went to correlation meeting at the church, cleaned the baptismal font, then did some service... painted walls at a member's apartment, had dinner with the bishop and then went teaching! It was a lot of fun! We are working hard and still working with Gena, Taylor, and Maria! Taylor has been reading the Book of Mormon and she knows its true! We are working on getting them to church! They are great and I love teaching them. I am excited for this next week! The Lord is blessing us and the work is moving forward in the Great Ohio Cincinnati Mission. Love you all, thanks for all your prayers and all your support.

Transfers?

This week was crazy!!! I was told on Wednesday I was leaving Montgomery. So I packed everything up and we went to transfers the next day. I got called right back to Montgomery with the same companion! So we drove back and unpacked! It was pretty funny. So I am still with Elder Foster in Montgomery Ohio! I love it here though, its the best! Sister Sofele is serving in the same ward as me! I see her about 3 times a week at meetings and stuff! So thats pretty cool. So this week has been awesome. Thursday was transfers and we also had a meeting with President Porter and the stake president and many of the bishops in the stake. It was a super powerful meeting and we discussed the vision and the goal for our stake. It was such a great experience. We also had leadership training on Friday! We went to the mission home and President and Sister Porter gave some amazing training. I love them, they are such great people and the more I get to know them the more respect and love I have for them. We are working with Laura, Taylor, Maria, and Gena this week! I am excited to teach them! So on Saturday January 18th our mission is doing a media split day! So members of our ward are going to spend the whole day with us! They will be taking pictures and putting them on facebook/intagram/twitter! They will be taking about 4 pictures an hour. With each post they will be bearing their testimony or inviting people to hear our message. We are doing this in response to the Book of Mormon play that is now coming to Cincinnati. So be watching for me on facebook or twitter or whatever! The members will #mormon #mediasplit on every picture so look for that. This idea will capture people's attention and the work is going to explode! The Lord is hastening his work as it says in Doctrine Covenants 88! The vision is clear and I am so excited to be apart of this great work! Jesus Christ is at the head of this work and this church!

Freezing!

What a great week in Ohio! It is freezing cold today! -2 degrees! The coldest weather I have ever experienced. I love it though.  The Bengals lost yesterday and that was a bit of a dagger because everyone here are Bengals fans. So Elder Moore went home on Thursday and we said good bye to him Wednesday. New years eve was really fun. We had to be in early and it was Elder Moore's last night so we talked about things and still got to bed on time!! So it was Elder Foster and I for a couple days and we had a ton of fun and found a lot of new people to teach. Then today a missionary in our zone received his visa and he left today to Brazil so we now have his companion! So it is still a trio, which I love because it makes everything so much more fun. It is a little more difficult to teach but I have really enjoyed being with two other comps. Transfer meeting will be this Thursday, I think I am going to get transferred again. So hold off on the letters and stuff for a bit and I will let you know where I am next Monday. So Laura the lady we are teaching picked up pneumonia so we have been praying for her. We were able to meet with a kid named Rodney this week. He is really cool and we are excited to see him progress. The weather is cold but it is not stopping us!  It has given us opportunities to serve and to show people what we believe by the way we act! It is awesome, I love serving the Lord and I love Cincinnati! Thanks for all your prayers and all your support!

Christmas in Ohio!

Christmas in Ohio was the best! We had a great Christmas eve at the Benson's house and we played some ping pong which was a lot of fun. We ate a ton of food and were sent home with leftovers! For Christmas we went to the Kisor's for breakfast and we had the biggest breakfast ever! He made so much food, it was a lot of fun. Then he surprised us with gifts from home. After that we went to G-storm's house... ( a member of our ward) and we called our parents. It was great to hear from my family and from Spennie, I miss them. Then we went to the Smith's house and had Christmas dinner with them. It was a great Christmas and it was so good to be in the service of the Lord during this time. Other then Christmas eve and Christmas, we had a good week. We had the chance to teach Laura. A lady we caroled to! She is awesome, she was so excited to read the Book of Mormon after we handed her a copy and she even said.... this is what I have been looking for. She told us she will be reading it on her flight out of town this week. She will be back later this week so we will see how things went! It was so awesome to teach her! I love sharing the gospel and I am super excited for a new year and new starts and becoming a better tool in the Lord's hand! Happy New Year! Thanks for all your prayers and all your support! I have been so blessed to have such a great family and such great friends!
