Baptism day!

Denise got baptized! It was awesome. It was super funny... right before she got into the font she disappeared for a second and everyone thought she got cold feet. She actually just went to get her swim cap because she didnt want to get her hair wet. It was great, she got baptized on Friday and confirmed on Sunday. She is such a sweet lady and she is doing so good. The other day there was a lady rolling around on her electric wheel chair and we went up and talked to her. She didnt have any teeth and she was the sweetest old lady, she showed us around her "hood" and she introduced us to a couple people, it was awesome. The work is going great and I am super excited to be serving here! The church is true. Thanks for all your supports and all your prayers!

Easter!

This week was awesome! Denise is doing well and is getting baptized this Friday, we are super excited for that, she is such a sweet lady! Easter was great, it was such a blessing to go around this week and talk to people about what Easter is all about. We actually talked to a less active member that had no idea what Easter was... it was pretty funny. He was asking about bunnies and eggs and asked what all that had to do with Christ being resurrected. It was an interesting conversation! He is a good guy though and it was fun talking to him. There was a short clip on mormon.org that was very powerful that we showed to everyone, it was great! Celebrating what Christ has done for us and for me personally has really helped me out on my mission. Knowing that somebody has been through what I am going through on a mission has very much been a blessing to me. As I have relied on my Heavenly Father and the atonement of Jesus Christ I have turned sorrow to joy and pain to happiness. I am so blessed to be here in Cincinnati, my new home, I love it here! I love the people and I love the ward I am serving in.

I know!

Things are going great here in the hood of Cincinnati! We had a ton of meetings last week but they were all super good! Our mission president gave us a Book of Mormon lesson that we teach right after the first lesson. It was awesome! The Book of Mormon is so great and it has such power. This week I went on two exchanges. I worked in a area called Deer Park and did some contacting there, it was great, the weather is nice and the sun is shining. We talked to a lot of people and I swear 90% of the people there have seen a vision of some sort, its pretty funny. We listened to some pretty crazy stories, maybe they are true, who knows. But what I do know is that Joseph Smith really did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, I know that because the spirit has borne witness to me that it is true. I have seen the fruits of the Gospel in my life and I know that it is true. The gospel is here to bring happiness and that is what I have seen in my life! True happiness! Denise is getting baptized on the 26th and she is doing super well! It is so awesome to see her progress in the gospel! I love serving a mission. Thanks for all your prayers and all you support!

Let Him guide & direct you!

This week was awesome! We found a lot of new people to teach, the Lord has really blessed us. General Conference was so amazing, I loved every second of it. The first session we went to a member's with our investigator Denise and she seemed to really like it. Then we went to  church for the second session and priesthood. Doug came to priesthood and he enjoyed it Then Sunday morning we went to another member's with Doug he is doing really well. Then for the last session we went to a less actives house and watched it with his family. It was great!!!! I love the prophet and the apostles, they are so amazing and like I said last conference.... general conference is like the super bowl for missionaries! It is the greatest. We have a lot going on this week. We have zone meeting and specialized training so I am going to be super busy! It truly is amazing to be a tool in the Lord's hand, to let him guide you and direct your every move,  we are seeing miracles. I love the work and I love the Lord. I know this is the true church and Jesus Christ is at the head of it. As I will be doing repeatedly... make sure to review your notes from conference and don't be just hearers but be doers!!! Love you all, thanks for all your support and all your prayers.
